April 2017

LPC continue to build positive relationships throughout the industry. The team at head office have been busy developing our client base and have since engaged in some really exciting projects with a range of electricity companies. Having accomplished a number of distribution network operator (DNO) contracts under our belt already, the plan is to continue to drive this part of the business forward. Because of the longstanding relationships already in place, providing reliable network support throughout the capital and beyond, our team has been discussing how we can further improve services all over the UK. Having been awarded the London PFI contract in 2016, we were delighted last month to have secured LV overlay and link box contracts with Scottish & Southern Energy Networks. This means that we’re able to continue on the positive trajectory we have worked so hard to achieve, in the knowledge of providing safe and robust network solutions nationwide.

UK Power Networks (formerly known as EDF) has also been keeping us busy. Having been a first choice service provider for many years in their SPN (Southern) and LPN (London) regions, we’ve now been asked to head east to supply operations further afield. Recruited to oversee the current network operations in UK Power Networks’ EPN (Eastern) region, it’s always a pleasure to work collaboratively in what can sometimes be a challenging environment because of the extensive works needed to complete the job. By working on a range of civils projects on the electricity network in the east of England, LPC have established a reliable and dynamic resource to directly support day to day operations of UKPN’s small service turn-key and fault activities.

And even though we’ve been incredibly busy this year, our duty of care in the workplace is never a compromise, which is why we are known for our commitment to safety. And what’s exciting is that LPC are again the proud recipient of yet another RoSPA Award. This time it’s the much coveted Presidents Award representing 10 consecutive Gold Awards. As delighted as we are to receive such an accolade (and it’s always nice to have an excuse to open a bottle of bubbly), the jewel in the crown is the acknowledgement from vigorous industry standards that we provide a consistently impressive level of safety in the workplace. This particular award is in recognition of our long term commitment to safety and is again testament to the hard work and support of our work force and partners.
